    Default which coolant ??

Sorry if this has alredy been covered but i cant seem to find the answer.

    I have a 19 CDTI 120 vectra.

Im not sure which coolant i should be using ?

I've been told i should use the red/orange antifreeze but i'd rather ask you guys to make sure ?

I'm also worried as looking at the expansion tank, the water looks a little orange-y brown and there is what looks like rainbow-y residue on top of the water. i've checked the oil via dip stick and filler cap and there is no sludge or milky oil.

i'm hoping the water is just a little miss-coloured and needs a flush due to maybe running it with no antifreeze ?

Yes only use the longlife stuff - the pink or orange stuff. Why do you think there is or its been running on no antifreeze?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Pink would be best. Mind that if you have anything different in the system already than you can't mix them - will have to drain it completely before putting a new one( unless the same colour)

It may already have the pink or orange stuff in as the water in the expansion tank is a orange sort of colour but the reason im concerned is it seems to have gotten darker over the last few weeks. I could be imagining things and getting a little paranoid after someone mentioned my head gasket could be on the way out.

If the gasket might be the case you should see stuff floating in the coolant and some residue on caps both oil cap and coolant bottle. Oil cap stuff will be kind of milky. You would notice a drop in the coolant. Ever had to top it up???
Coolant will get darker with time. It's not going to be like new all the time.

It's always good to top it up for winter with just the concentrate so it holds better on freezing days.
