    Default Headlight housing misting

Anyone else getting misting inside the lenses? I fitted the HID's and made as sure as anyone can that the rubber grommet sealed into the casing for the low beam but after a really wet few days (no use of the lights however) I have misting in the outer corners covering about 15% of the lens area

Nah not at the moment they had almost dried out when I did go out to photo them so I suspect there is a link to the xenon's for the moment and might need to add a liquid gasket to the grommet?

The funny thing is in the days I ran Bimmer's they advised drilling a small hole in the housing to let it breathe, we have cut a hole in the sealed backing cap and plugged it with a rubber grommet so not really made a massive difference I would have said.

As for the heat yes the old Halogens are a good heat source for sure the xenons get warm but warm in a florescent type way so there isn't the same opportunity to dry them out I guess?

    Bloomin annoyong anyways

The same has happened to my n/s one,but I have put it down to the fact that I cut too big a hole in the rubber cover.Keithy kindly let me have a extra pair he had so I'm going to use one of them and see how it goes.If not it's plan B,in that my son has a Vectra B with solid covers,so I'm going to nick his and swap them over if it doesn't work!!!!(who said all dad's are barstewards)?.FELIXX.
