Default Getting covers off head rests.

    Anyone done this before?

I now have a spare set of headrests and have a project in mind for them, but need to be able to remove the covers in order to do this properly. Is there an easy way or do I really have to unpick all the stitching at the bottom to get them off?

if yours is a preface its quite easy, they all have a sort of plastic fabic clip which can be undone to get them off, front ones are a pain tho with the button on the left of adjustment

    howver.....................

if yours is a facelift like mine, the front ones are still easy enough to remove, but the rears are glued in place, i did manage to get mine off after about 30mins of persuasion each, but when i went to get the embroided, was told there was too much foam on back, so they could no be done

    Hope this helps

Yes it does, I think my spare set are off a facelift which explains why I couldnt see any clip, but my originals are pre-face so I'll just swap them over and use the pre-face ones for the "project" (and no it's not screens... yet).

    Thanks

LMAO, nice one Dave. Hey, you could do it too, "bin" on the drivers side and "lids" on the passenger one

Heh, nah, seriously though, Amy's going to have a go at embroidering the Alpine logo's into them for me in silver and blue, at least that's the plan.

Edit: this logo, but with the stripes in silver and the word Alpine in blue to match the car.
