Default Upraited Suspension for SRI Towing

Does anyone know of a upgrade for the SRI rear suspension to help with towing a caravan as I am finding that the car when loaded up and with the caravan on the back is just to low to be happy with as I have bottomed out a few times, but luckly the towbar took the hit. I have also had the light cable on the caravan rub on the floor to the extent of just 1 wire being left inside the black liner. I have had a look around but not finding anything as I dont want to lower the car anymore but just dont want the car to sit as low as it does under load so maybe heavyduty springs or shocks or both. If I cant find anything it could mean the end to my Vectra ownership which is a shame as it does pull really well and ticks all my boxes except the current issue. I might look at a Vec C estate but a non SRI so a Elite would be nice or does anyone want to do a swap but idealy I would just like to have uprated suspension. Please help guys.

have you tried spring assistors like these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Towing-Coil-.../dp/B003WFQO1O I don't tow so cant tell you if they are any good but might be worth a try for the price.

I have thought about them but just need to find out if they will be ok as the SRI springs are shorter than normal ones so need to know if any damage would happen

The spring assistors mentioned above work fairly well as they hold the spring coils apart a bit but still have some give, another better type of assistor is from http://www.mad-suspension.co.uk/ and search for VX and you get the progressive/helper version which sit inside the existing suspension and are much better but neither will correct a badly loaded outfit, what noseweight are you running on the caravan? Is it single or twin axle?

I have since found the MAD suspension info and will call them tomorrow as they just list Vectra 1.9cdti so I need to see if the SRI will be coverd.
My Caravan is a single axle Swift Blakemere L GT which is based on the Charisma 540 and it does have a quite heavy noseweight but all I have in the nose locker is a 6kg Calorlite bottle and some fresh / waste pipe and the leg winder. All the rest is in the boot of the car and over the axle and slightly heading to the rear and it tows like a dream, as I already said the problem is the car as it even catches on multistorey carpark ramps if I am going to fast up them. When I go away there is me, the wife and my teenage daughter + little dog and a full boot so I think that some help in the spring department will work wonders as it had new Monroe shockers just last year.

I found out today that the MAD suspension is only for the standard suspension and not the SRI so with a last attempt I called Ian at MPG and BINGO he has come up with the goods. He can supply HD springs for the SRI and has done this before for a customer who also was having simular issues and the cost is £175.55 fully fitted, so in the New Year I will be getting them fitted and that means I can keep my Vectra

I think I will go for the cheap method first and that is using Spring Assistors as I dont want a harder ride by fitting HD springs but if the Spring Assistors dont work I will have to get all my fillings checked ready for a hard ride.

Hi Andy its Craig met you at MPG, i think i told you my car was a old London police car. I have recently lowered my car using a Eibach spring kit i have kept the old springs which i am sure have been uprated for police use, even thoe they still have the original SRI spring ident. PK. My car running height was between 2.5>3.0 inches higher than other SRI,s, at the rear if you would like to try them, let me know hope i can help you.....

I changed my springs to Eibach which lowered it a bit from the standard SRi setup, but I have found it is a lot better for towing with, the standard setup drops loads and bottoms out, the Eibach setup hardly moves in comparisson.
