    Default Machine polishing

Got a 2005 Black Sapph Vec

Got a DAS6, with menz sample polish kit from cyc, and sonus (SFX 2/3)

What is the paint like on veccys? And what combo would you recommend trying first?

    Cheers

    paint is quite hard

Use one of the finishing polishes with orange (sfx-3) pad to start, but to remove swirls use white (sfx2-)pad and the third cut polish think they call it gloss something but ull see the cut on the back of the bottle, just dont use the harshest as u wont need it,
I did try sfx-1 pad with the gloss polish and didnt like it, using the sfx-2 pad gave better results on swirls after 6 passes with the das-6

Sorry if post was pants, im not too well.
Oh and get some 'black hole' by poorboys, apply it with the sfx-4 black pad, very easy on n off, its a glaze and ofc dont forget to protect it with some wax so u keep the shine

    Happy detailing

Try the finishing polish on a finishing pad, then move upto next polish, and next pad?

I only have two pads, so if i get it wrong, i'd have to wash them out again!

Cheers, i got some black hole, and a variety of wax!

I ordered a DAS6 yesterday too! Must be contagious! I also get two finishing pads (different types), a roll of tape and a bottle of Cherry Glaze. Very good deal from Autobrite! Can't wait to give it a try!

I shall be asking lots of questions on here too...

Me too. Can anyone on here advise us?

For my part, I would like to buy the correct pads and some decent finishing wax to seal in the treated paintwork. So advise away! The car is mica black (metallic), if that makes any difference.

I was told the menz pads can be a bit harsh, so got the sonus pads, but with the menz polish...

    Wax...Depends how much you want to spend;

    Dodo Purple Haze
    Colly 476
    AG HD

Or Serious Performance Sealent if you want to down that route...

I was told the hexologic ones are best, torn between sonus (going to be using their tyre dressing on the trim) or menzerna. Paint on both our pretty good so don't need harsher pads/polish - except to experiment on other peoples cars muhahaha

Tried the DA for the first time the other day to get a key scratch out of my brothers car.

Used the 3rd most abrasive polish out of the menz sample kit, and it worked a treat.
