    Default Vectra c auto headlights

    I leave the head lights in auto Mode but when it normal daylight and say i drive through a tunnel they rake forever to switch off.

    Is this normal has any one else experienced this

    depends what the daylight at the other side of the tunnel is like... low winter sun creates lots of shade, sensors take time & accurate measures of light to change.

    I can go through a bridge in town, they will come on and go out instantly.

    I have driven from Dark to morning sun, and they didnt go off even when the sun was shining right at them
    I think its as said above that there is a lot of shade, and not enough time to make a accurate measurement.

    Must be trying to findca fault when there isn't one.
    Never under stand though why other cars go straight off.

    One of them things then I guess.

    Mine are brilliant. Come on and off even as I go under bridges at speed on the motorway.

    Much better than the rain-sensitive-wipers, which are rubbish.

    Mine must be broke then as they don't turn off straight away.

    Or you could always work them manually - it's not like your hand is far away...

    I've got them mate - but seeing as I usually run with my headlights on all the time anyway the whole system seems a bit pointless to me...

    Same with the auto-wipers - it really isn't a hardship to turn them on when it starts raining...
