Default What head unit do you recommend?

I have the standard one in at the moment. I have my head unit from my old car but I don't want to lose the sat nav etc.

I'm looking to buy a new one for obviously as cheap as possible so I can play music from a standard usb stick and hopefully be able to use my phone hands free as well but thats not a priority. Just wondering what you guys would recommend or if there's alternative solutions without having to replace the whole unit. CD's are a pain to use and the anti shock on the standard unit is terrible I find.
    Thanks

you should try a parrot mki9200 handsfree kit mate. Installed one of these a few months ago and aswell as the bluetooth connectivity you can connect your ipod, an sd card, any usb device or anything with a 3.5mm headphone socket. The sound is really good quality too. You can keep the sat nav then.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks for the reply.
Yeh I'm looking at getting something similar to that but doesn't have to be as complex. I found that product online for £140 which seems reasonable price. If I can find something that does same job for less that would be ideal, so threads still open for more suggestions

I have an IO Play - bluetooth streaming. Use it with an ipod touch and my phone - can connect 5 devices. Keeps radio in place. Can't use steering wheel controls, or change bass etc, but can be done on ipod first. Don't really miss the steering controls to be honest. Good unit, picked mine up for £50 new off the 'bay, plus a £20 SOT lead from Halfords. Easy enough to fit (after scratching my head for a couple of hours!!), and can be put in another car when sold. Teamed it up with a brodit mount and holder, so always charged aswell. Only things visible are the little control module (stuck mine in the ashtray holder, took ashtray out and just put it there), and the microphone at the top of the a pillar. So, away from prying eyes aswell.
