intercooler is it worth fitting bigger one?

hi all its spend spend spend time read it a few places that a bigger intercooler= more power so was wondering anyone fitted a bigger intercooler and what diffrence will it make fitting one i have a tuning box on the way (i know booo get a remap thats comeing in the week if all gos to plan) i have my twin exits fitted on the 6th of nov thats if they dont keep delaying it
thats all i can think of for more power!! but the 1st thing i wanna do is get the car up to the standers so i can do the above is it worth geting a intercooler with just the tuning box fitted or do i wait till all the other mods are done then fitted one?? sorry for such a lont tread just fort id explaine what i wanna do so i get best feed back thanx agen

from what i have read i would say no, and if you do a search on here you will probably reach the same conclusion

Think its been mentioned before that the intercoolers are all the same??

And your never gonna get VXR power out of yours so save your money...

yer iv had a read on here its all 50/50 so i fort id ask dont ask dont get lol so not worth it?? car will be at about 200+ bhp by this time next month maybe more i hope

If a bit flush tho you could fit a better looking one and open up your lower grill

As said they are all the same so no real point on a diesel remapped or not tbh. IIRC chrisgettings fitted an additional intercooler and lost power - could be wrong though.

The in and out on that one is too big, ideally you want 2.5" not 3". i would disagree that it doesnt make a difference you if you do it properly your going to relocate the intercooler to the front grill and remove it from the heat sandwich. I have done mine and although no big power gains from it, i would still say it was worth doing

and there to small (i think) but yer i did think that moveing it in to the frount grille it would be geting better air flow plus will look good nice and shiny lol

thats fine, you done want the core any bigger than the grill, measure your font bumper grill and look for that size but 3/3.5" thick
