On the net I've found some additional devices witch have "forward collision warning" but all it's based on the vga camera. (arround 1000 usd)

And after a lot of "research" on the net... the best products it's there with laser detection... LIDAR. But I didn't found a reseller for this type...

I know that. And Audi and Bmw have the same safety sistems. But not Opel or not Vectra C.

This is the reason for me to asking about that here in forum. Because I'm realy concerned about safety drive on the road in Romania.

    Cheers

I like the idea - but you could never trust the car to get you out of trouble - this doesnt exactly fill me with faith either

    I'm totally agree with you.
This kind of system (like mobileye) it's just like a third eye like a buzzer.
Now i'm reading a book named: "Trafic" - Tom Vanderbilt and there in the book exists a lot of conclusion about the reaction time. You know that we lost first 1.5 or 2 seconds from the car event or car accident? This one it's for a lot of reasons... And the "third eye" or any safety system from car it's working for recovery those lost seconds... and maybe your life or money...
But all the aftermaket systems still expensive for me... but I'm thinking very serious about this.

    Cheers
