    Angry Chip in door

Right, picture this... just put the car up the drive, going round to the passenger side rear door... open door and don't realise that it wants to open further than you acctually opened it.. chip in the ing door, 2 of acctually, fairly decent chips too... i had to have a second look at it, didnt want to believe what just happened.. almost felt sick. horrible thing to do and should have used the other door that was not next to the wall.... anyone had this sort of encounter before? how do you fix this kind of chip? just some touch up pens and lacquer?

PS Sorry for the longwinded groaning, its a ****** gutter!

I'll nip down to halfrauds tomorrow, see if i can get a touchup pen kit, with my cars colour, as opposed to the touch up pens I have, they are just clear for stone chips.. would they work just as good ?

Been there done that the feeling is dreadful but happens to everyone mate! like others say get along to Halfords and get a touch up stick and see if it can be touched in as near invisibly as possible.

My car has done 93k and you can imagine the stone chips it's collected!!.I know VX get a kicking now and then but they can and do stock a very good touch up kit,and what's more, being there,on site, you can match the colour more or less to the exact shade etc.FELIXX.

Old post, but i got a touch up kit from the dealers yesterday. You get 2 tubes ......the paint & the laquer.

Cost was £5.35 inc vat. Not bad.

They can match the colour from the reg no & the colour match (star silver 3 in my case), was as near perfect as dammit.
