I believe that you have a bdm or can flasher and some software like winols. You may get around 150 from a 8v for add 20% extra boost, 15% fuel and egr off and other stuff i think.

In my opinion the numbers are nothing just an indication of power but it does not immediately means you are faster. It really depend on your style especially when you are in a track. If you want faster pull start just rev to 5000rpm then release the clutch

For a FF the increasement is very limited other than top speed personally reakon.

As someone mentioned earlier. It's not the peak figures that matter, it's how it's delivered and the way in which it's put down onto the tarmac that matters.

Remaps, boxes etc, always give the impression that the car is so much faster. The reality is somewhat different, however. Especially if you then drive or ride something that really is "fast".

I agree dd. Engine that gives power in a smoth way makes the car feels "easy" to drive and gives a feeling of comfort. But the reasen I post this topic is teoretical, to see how many bph its possible to tune a cdti 120 to. Some remap-firm said they can make 180 bph/370 nm form this engine and if its true its a increase of 50 % (bph). Can this be true?

Spoke to guy from roller dynamometer lately and he said that its safest to add 30-35bhp if I want this engine remains quite reliable. But what he said is that they checked many cars with this engine and some of them got 118 and some even 128 bhp, is it possible?

If he said so It is to cdti 120 , the one with 8 valve and the cdti 150 (16 V) who are down-tuned to 120. Maybe some of the last one has litle extra power.
