    Default check safeguard.

    when fitting my rear interior light in pulled the tape an damaged this does any one know if this could be anythig to do with the check safeguard message if so hown can it be repaired? thanks. cant upload my pics but this is similar the part under the blck stuff exept mine didnt have the blck stuff it scome apart there are 3 like solder nblogs wich used to hold it together.

    If you have the alarm sensors by your light check the connection on top of the light assembley first.

    yeah ive got the sensors near the front interior light ive tried pushing the connector in. tried loccking he car with the windows down and sticking my head in, the alarm doesnt go off. the red light on the dash still flashes. the pic above is in the roof lining above the passanger rear door do you know what they are all for? cheers anything there to do with the alarm?

    When I fitted my rear int light there were 2 plugs, if you look on the ribbons it will say what its for, one for rear light (Dome) one for the parking sensors (park assist[i think]).
    I also slightly pulled apart the same thing you did, no black on mine either. I just pushed it back together and hoped for the best. It might be repaireable and its worth trying but I think i've read on here that some have had to buy a new roof loom.

    Edit, Its also worth checking the connection of the roof loom ribbon with the fuse box in the boot, it might have been pulled out slightly when lowering the roof lineing.
