    Default water in passenger foot well

    Help with this one..

    estate 2004 1.8 petrol

    the passenger side foot well is getting wet from wome where but not sure where from

    i have not had the car long so dont know how long its been like it, i collected the car and found the leak then.

    i have checked the normal, the heater matrix i can see it leaking as the carpets not wet under the matrix box.

    the cars not losing any water from the coolant bot.

    i have checked the drain plug by the pollen filter and are clear.

    any ideas please?

    if its that bad a leak dry it out best you can and get some 1 to hose it as you sit in the car and look for the said leak are you defo sure the rear foot wells are dry? as sometimes they leak from the rear quarter windows

    the rear is deffo dry mate checked that one. i have removed the glove box and still unable to see where its coming from did this with a hose pipe on the car and couldnt work out where its coming in from.

    any way to check its the windscreen? would have thought i would have got wind noise from the screen? which i dont

    also to mention the pollen filter and area where the drain plug is ment to be was bone dry when i checked today but the carpet was still full of water

    When you say "meant to be",does this mean you have actually made sure that the scuttle drain IS clear?,because this problem sound like it IS blocked.If it is blocked you may end up having problems with your blower fan/motor.I had a"stiff"motor because of a similar problem with water ingress,and it rusted the blower motor.That problem kept blowing resistor fuses so I sprayed the motor/fan through the pollen filter access with WD 40 and I have had no failures since.(Just thought I would add that snippet!!.FELIXX.

    by meant to be i mean i have removed it, just to rule out the lip.

    Fond he leak turned out to be a small hole in the glue for the windscreen in the top passenger side and as it rained it just come in slowly.

    only found it by chance where i had the kick panel of and i could see the water dripping and removed the door rubber sill and could see where it was starting to come from removed the a piller trim and bingo.

    now time to dry the car out and removed the smell

    Result there mate well spotted, have you sealed it back up with silicon sealant?

    I meet up with a mate of mine with some windscreen glue and sealed it back up with that
