    Default setting the clock

    can anyone tell me how to set the clock when u have replaced the standard cd player?

    i stand to be corrected but i don think you can, you ma have to put old stereo in or if you know anyone with tech2 just to change it for you

    Can it not be done via the steering wheel controls?

    Namely the LH scroll wheel. Press it to enter the settings, then scroll through the necessary menus.

    As far as I know, the clock gets the time from the headunit through the radio signal, thats why it never needs changing for BST / DST etc, it can only be changed manually by yourself if it's the tid with the 2 buttons under it (the small display with 2 buttons).

    You should be able to get a steering wheel interface that goes with you new headunit which allows you to re-gain control of changing the clock time ect. I got one for my Alpine headunit and I've got all functions back which allows me to change the time date year etc.

    try www.dynamicsounds.co.uk for the model of your headunit then this will show u what interface you need.
