    Default Tyres Are rubbish

    alright folks

    The other day i was going round a roundabout at approx 25mph when the backend swung right round on me

    happened once before on a corner but was`nt as bad though

    woke me up lol

    tyres are nearly new,make is EVENT

    anybody any ideas ?

    Good one! Sure it's tyres, as I had same with Omega down to oil in road.
    Had known decent tyres on and car just MoT'd so in my case definitely road.

    that happened to me once i **** myself but lucky enough i had the sense to steer into it, i actually pulled in when i got off it and checked my tyres cause i thought i had a flat.

    In a front wheel drive car this would suggest lack of grip at the rear
    If you were driving too fast then you would have been more likely to experience understeer, going in a straight line into the corner

    Therefore this suggests either too much steering at the wrong point of the corner, a suspension fault, or incorrect tyre
    However, there are loads of other causes

    Therefore, can you post details about the tyres; profile and pressures
    Assuming they are new, I will assume they are 8mm and on fitting the new tyres a four wheel alignment was carried out

    My back end slips out on one round about on the way to work, then understeers pulling back onto the dual; carriageway. makes the morning drive quite fun...

    I had the same with my Minerva F501 tyres on the last vectra they were lethal. I have Nexen N3000 on this car and they are really quite good in the wet so far.
