Default Does your vectra steam up?

Think this car has spent 6 months under water im for ever putting the air con on to clear the windows in the colder weather the pollen filter is clear.

Looking at a few other vectras in the car park and there rear and front screens were same as mine!, Is this poor design is yours the same.

No garage stuck outside like all my cars have but this is the worse for this i park it in the sun and leave a window slightly open to clear.

    Mines OK, 58-reg.

You could have damp inside for it to condensate on the windows.

Use the aircon and heater together to dry the air inside.

Same here...now almost every morning. And I hate that I have to use the aircon when it's already so cold outside. I'll try some FOG X and Rain X in the near future.

I think you might have to turn it to warm, especially to dry the air inside the car.

another Tip - if you have rubber mats its a vicious circle

the water pools on the rubber mats when you get in with wet feet and clothing etc..... the heater heats the water then it evaporates and wanders happily around the interior of your car until you get out and then the glass gets cold first and then condensation is formed on the glass - you get back in and the cycle is repeated .....

use a cloth to dry the glass thorougly and check around your boot area where water accumulates to make sure you have got it all ....you may have to repeat the cycle a few times to get rid of the worst of it ..then make sure you replace the rubber with carpet as it absorbs the water better

and also make sure you still use your ac/climate on heat as this will help to dry out the interior of your car and also prevents the ac seals on the pipes from failing through lack of use in winter months

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven

Mine was steaming up really bad a few weeks ago, but I removed the scuttle panel, wiper motor/linkage and unclipped the wire loom to remove all the compost from leaves and cleaned the blocked drains. Now all is good and normal.

Me thinks I will have to do mine tonight, as it steams up quite badly even with 2 people in it.
