Default How do ya clean ya rims!?

Are wheel waxes worth purchasing? They claim to give a shine resist brake dust and hide minor scratches and blemishes!? Any1 av any opinions on if its rite? Also does any1 bother cleaning the actual inside of the rims by having to remove it?

Yes i remove wheels regually to clean the inside. Also use my car wax on them to help stop the brake dust sticking to the rims.

I have always been led to believe that waxes are only beneficial on polished, unsealed rims.

Always wash mine with a bucket and sponge same as the body, but with a different sponge of course. And get to the behind bits with a cheap washing up brush, I give it back to the missus when I've done.

taking the wheels off is a bit ott, i clean em and use a wheel brush to get inside. Every now & again i polish them with whatever cheap wax or polish ive got - turtle wax or similar.
