    Default Weak engine under 2000 rpm - cdti 120

    Hello people. I have Just buy me a 2007 vectra cdti 120. I think its very litle torque under 2000 rpm, and then its "explode". I have checked for air leak but coldnt find any.

    I have monted a semi-blanking plate on the egr and cleaned this one and the boost sensor. I have also removed the trotle valve. But its still weak in low revs.

    Is it this way the cdti in vectra is? Or could something be wrong?

    hello ket, max torque is at 2000 rpm, and it does come in with a bit of a thump, so I dont think there is anything wrong with your car, the 120 cdti I drove was the same its a heavy car for a 120 bhp, in fact my 1.8 petrol pulled better than the 120 cdti that I drove, just give it some foot, rgds ANT.

    try

    new fuel filter,

    new air filter

    derestrict the airbox

    and then put some good fuel in

    i use shell V power

    oh and a remap will give you 180 bhp -----with gearing that just suits a remap....

    also check vacuum hoses and intercooler hoses

    Thanks for tip. I have done those thing you write, except the remap. I have a problem finding the right file for my car. I have tried Medusa and two others, bot none have this file who match my car. I flash self with mo CMD.

    several uk companies do this

    perhaps contact them and see if they could do something remotely for you????

    i'd say you turbo should spin up at about 1200 and really come on about 16-1800.

    i try to keep my 150 at about 1800-2000 for best performance and overtaking ability

    what fuel are you using?

    I am using normal Shell diesel. We dont have any opportunity then ordinary deisel here in Norway. There is not much power before 2000 rpm, but then it pull very vell.

    Well, nothing extraordinary its not very strong engine. Better fuel will not give any visible difference (at least in mine) so u dont loose anything if u dont have it in Norway. I'll have to think bout some tuning box just need to make sure which one will be the best, maybe u should aswell.

    the injectors will love V power

    but it just responds better on better fuel.....

    i'd remap as its adjusting parameters rather than just pushing more fuel through the system...
