My disc is a 2003 one. (despite the car being a nov 04!). It doesn't have the TMC.Apparently, it only works on the later discs.

Gah! Bu99ers! I won't hold out much hope for VX giving me an updated disc then ... do you have a newer CD70 by the way or the older CDC2016/17? If it is the older head unit you would have to keep your radio tuned to Classic FM for TMC to work, if a newer one with twin tuners then you would simply need a new disc at a cost of around £117 if you were interested.

Yep. It's the CD70. I was going to get a disc off e-bay, but then decided I didn't actually go anywhere to use it.

(Although I'm off to Leeds at the weekend, so it will be given an outing. )

The thing to remember about satnav is to use it when you don’t know where you are going rather than when you do…… stating the obviouse I know but my mate borrowed my navman unit and complained when It didn’t take him the way he thought it should ie the route to work that its taken him 6 months to master and fined the quickest and the most direct way….. I asked him if the route that the satnav suggested would have got him to the right place and the answer was….. yes

Got me home on many occasions…… seen plenty of the country
