Thumbs up The Not So Stealers Thread

Ok, so praise where praise is due time I think. Went in to the VX dealer at Sighthill in Edinburgh to pick up a bit for Kenp and while im standing waiting for him to get the item I noticed they had a large ammount of VX batteries sitting on the floor, on looking £61.30 Now considering id looked in Halfrauds a couple of weeks back and they wanted over £100 for one so though I better ask if £61 was + or including the dreaded VAT. He said "well no, I can actually do it cheaper than that" £58.75 for a genuine VX 70amp battery!!!! Mines not knackered but the green light is not as green as it should be and it appears to be the origional battery so its over 6 years old, but at that price stuff it, and it comes with a 3 year warranty too Oh and I never asked for discount, or even mentioned this club either, so I suppose Praise where Praise is due from the Parts Dept of Evan Halshaw Cultins Rd Edinburgh

VXGo batteries are great value for money. Halfaurds batteries are an absolute fortune though, when I bought my Astra the guy had just put a new Halfaurds one in with a receipt for £120.

Both of those batteries are available cheaper though, using Vx Trade Club or Halfords Trade Card.

That they are, but not everyone has VX/Halfaurds trade club, point was the RRP cost of a Halfaurds battery in comparison to a VXGo.

Well the Vx TC card is available just by becoming a full member of this very site - can't get easier than that.

Dave does your Dealership accept the Trade card linked to Vec.com? I know they all are supposed to but a few seem to have not had their book updated with this.
