Thing is... they both have 400 BHP and 4x4 wheel drive... and the best time in that run was 14.5 seconds and 91 mph
A standard Insignia VXR was reported doing a 14.2 second quarter mile (unvarified) which is faster than the two above times
My remapped Vectra VXR will do 14.3 second quarter mile.. and 101 mph
So what do you think went wrong? (Turbo Lag maybe?)

Was looking forward to the drag race but very disappointed with the end product....
Are they not auto only??
Black one had a very bad start. It seems the blue one gave up, almost like he missed a gear...
Your VXR seems very quick, wouldn't want to meet you on a straight road!!!!
You wouldnt want to meet me on the twisties either... as other Subaru, BMW M3 owners found out on the Nurburgring.

Not just a straight line machine
4x4 boged them down. Keep vectras. More people on here getting rid of their insignia anyway.
would be good to go.
I know what the problem is, they are not 400bhp. The 2.8 V6T struggles to get past the 380bhp mark reliably due to compression limitations.
I know of an Insignia VXR with Thorney's alledged 400bhp and on a rolling road run, it produced 341bhp!
I know rolling roads are not 100% accurate but even taking into account errors, it still is not 400bhp.
