After a 10 day wait, she was ready for me and BOY! she looked like she was brand new,,,,, for about 30 seconds, then it ****ed down, but I did get a chance to walk around her dry.
Both bumpers and the wing / door below the running strip were painted all four alloys (only one was really marked however) refurbished, and the car polished up for me.
Internally a new gear lever plus the gaiter and console surround gave the gearshift a lovely tight feel.
The new DMF clutch pack felt wonderful with a really nice light pedal full of progression.
The engine is as sweet as a nut much softer in tone than the previous CDTi but felt slower however I have only driven 7 miles home so far.
I will report more on this as tomorrow I am doing Stewarton Manchester, then Wednesday Manchester Harrogate, Stewarton a nice 600 mile road trip.
One glitch with Insurance so she's still on the 57 plate for now but I plan to try and squeeze a trip to DVLA between meeting's Thursday as the retention cert., should let me get a disc there and then and all I do is screw on the plates.
All in despite having no time to do any mod's apart from new mats I just feel a true sense of relief. If it is dry on Saturday I will get the HID's and the rest of the bulbs fitted then try to get the mudflaps on and paint up the calipers. I fancy blue again but an still thinking this time after sedeing some of the yellow ones on here
I will get some new pics on later in the week once the re-build begins.
