    Default Custom PC's

Normally I build custom PC's but debating whether to try and install one in my vectra not sure how difficult it would be and how the PSU is all wired up within the car anyone have any experience on this?

You can use an inverter to give 240v AC or internally in a PC you only need two different voltages 12v and 5v DC so you should be able to regulate those easily from a car power system. I have two powered ports running at 5v using regulated power supplies for my hard drive and phone's USB port in the car.

Its something I've pondered trying many times, but my Alpine head unit does almost everything I would use a car PC for (except internet access but I've got mobile phone for that lol).

I can understand doing it for the challenge of getting a PC to work in the car (and to look ok), but what do you actually need a PC for in the car? Have to work with the ****** things all, day, they are becoming a bigger part of home life to, rather like the lack of PC in the car!
