    Default Dashboard strip

    Hello guys,

I wanted to ask if its possible to pop out the chrome strip that is present in the dashboard strip that goes across the face of the dashboard.
Reason being, I currently have the walnut effect one, and i have sourced a strip that is matt silver/grey but also has a kind of chrome inlay strip, if that makes any sense at all!

If you could help that would be great!
    Thanks
    Mo

Yes it comes off quite easy. remove the fuse box cover on the end of the passenger side of dash board than carefully, using a wide blade flat screwdriver and rag gently prise it off. Its only held on by 4 spring clips.

It just pops off, open the glove box and pull from under the strip, there's maybe 4 clips. The strip with the chrome bit is off a facelift I think.

    Edit; beaten to it

It wont fit your one properly, if you look at the new one it bows outwards towards the right hand end because the dash is different on the facelift.

Would anyone know if the walnut strips on the door cards come off just like the one on the dashboard? I have tried but its not happening, dont want to pull it off to find it screwed in from the back or something!

IIRC, they're held from behind with those star type washers that are pushed onto stems which are attached to the trim. You need to remove the door card, and prise off the retaining star washers.
