    Default silver dash strips

    how do i get the silver dashboard trim off and the same bit on the doors ?, iv had a quick look in the how tos and cant find anything, any help apreciated.

    hi mate i believe they come attached to the plastic strip and come complete i know the dash strip just pulls off hope it heps

    You open the glove box and the dashboard trim just pulls off,the door trims are held on with plastic rivets,you need to chisel them off from behind the trim,hope that helps

    thanks for the replys, do the rivets break as you pull them off or will they go back on, im thinkin of wrappin then in vinyl wot do you reckon ???

    No they shouldnt, there metal spring type clips

    They are plastic rivets and yeah you'll need to use something to hold them back on with. Maybe worth just taking the door card off wrapping them in place

    Arent they metal spring clips, what part u talking about, is the OP not on about the big silver dash trim that runs along the dash and then the small bit on drivers side ?

    He's on about both mate, the dash and the doors

    As said the dash is easy and just un-clips/ clips back on

    I vinyl wrapped mine in carbon, didn't like the wood effect!! The dash strips just pull off, the door cars are as others have told you plastic riveted on. I stuck a 13mm drill bit in the drill and took the heads off them. To get them back on youo'll need the correct sizes (diameter and length). I didn't have any so i cut down some rawl plugs and used the screws i had. Looks a lot better now.

    I'd recommend getting them off the door cards though, if you try and wrap them on the card you'll never get a good finish.
