    Default Mending cruise control...

Anyone got any tips for me? Can it be done on the cheap, or do I need a new stalk.

I know I've got to do the clutch pedal spring mod, but even when I lift the pedal with my foot, the cruise still won't engage. Buttons just don't seem to do anything at all...

It could be the clutch pedal switch or as you say dirty contacts on the stalk. I'm sure there is a How2 for cleaning it

As above but I used to get the 'check brake light switch' on the screen and I had this recalibrated - and I didn't realise that was the problem until I started using the Cruise control on a trip to England yesterday---- no interruptions.

Take the car for a drive, & ''safley'' wilst driving tug on the stalk 'outwards' as though you were pulling it out of the colum, whilst doing this at the SAME time NOT pushing the stalk back in press the 'set' button! ( you can tug first with whole hand then hold the stalk outwards with fingers & press the set button(bottom button) then, If this works when going along flick the stalk sharply! the cruise 'may' drop off!, you can pm me if this is the case!.
