2.2 dti playing up now

Well the wife's vectra is playing up now, there is a sound like metal on metal noise ehilst driving a bit like brake discs grinding but I wasn't using the brakes.

It seems to do it when driving with the steering on hard lock, haven't noticed it when driving in a straight line.

Could it be wheel bearings?

Could be your cv joints.

is that have a look underneath and see if they are split or grease leaking from them?

Not entirely sure where I need to be to look at the cv joints?

Yeah if the boots have split the grease would of been lost, you will have to fit new cv boots and regrease and if the noise is still there you will have to renew the cv joint.
