    Default Electric fault? Pls help

Hi i recently bought a 2002 vectra c 2.2. sri but theres a problem with the clocks. every few mins rev counter/fuel gauge/petrol gauge/trip comp just turn to 0 and come back straight away. normally happens twice and then it all goes completly off so i cant even tell how fast im going unless i turn ignition key by one click and back. then they come back on and it all starts again. ive been told thats some plugs fault but does anyone know what it actually is and how much it costs to fix? thanks

Quick one to try before delving too far.. Battery earth.. My previous Vectra, a 2003 2.2 lost all dials, along with the dash lighting like a christmas tree.. Resolved by turning off and on again. Took it to Vaux, who after taking £80 for diagnostics, told me the earth was loose..

Bad earth, dead battery, low charge from the alternator or CIM problem.

Its the steering column ECU and yes it's quite expensive I'm afraid. You can't fit one yourself as it needs to be coded in by the stealer. I think they are about £400

You need to get a diagnostic check done first as this will show up where the fault actually is.
