    Default air fillter box

took my air filter box out today to clean and noticed for such a large box when you look inside with the filter in its very small and only get air to the front half of the box .
also looking at it with the bottom part the box out the way there is a nice clear way from the wheel arch where cold air comes up so i have mod mine on the bottom left hand side way from the engine heat with 10 small drill holes in areas where cold air will come in this works well as the bottom section of the box sits on the body of the car (wheel arch) and the area with the drill holes pull the air out the large space of cold air above the wheel and iner wing and how i have put the holes are not just any old how they have been put to allow more air in the box and to the rear part of the air box . already done the other mod but car pulls lot cleaner and gives i little bit of a growl to not to much like a induction kit but hit 4000 rpm + when its on cam and sounds sweet

Have you also done the airbox mod too?

Just be careful drilling you box as you don't want it sucking in water

Winnie done a good mod drilling a small section away on front bumper (where it can't be seen) to let engine suck air in more freely
