    Not holding back on info which I am happy to share but I may not get on here for a few days at a time and the info was already posted when I joined the site and elsewhere on this bbs.
    The car started at 158 bhp and 230 lbs.ft. on Scooby Clinics rollers (Dyno Dynamics)
    Air box mod and oil breather restriction with K+N pannel.
    Hand made full decat exhaust, turbo back. Down pipe DEI heat wrapped.
    I replaced the inlet manifold as the swirl bar kept dropping off. Not a nice job. Common fault I have now found out.
    I then fitted a CKSpeed tuning box and set it up myself on S.C's rollers.
    We now had 199 bhp and 294 lbs. ft.
    Then in one go I modified the turbo with a 56 diameter compressor wheel in place of O/E 49mm and machined and bored the compressor cover to suit along with a large Hybrid front mount intercooler for a WRX/STi. This made a big difference.
    The car was then mapped. I was told it would be live mapped but this was not exactly the case.
    Only tonight, as a result of what I read on here last night and after several previous frustrating attempts over several months, I think I have successfully deleted the EGR valve without getting a CEL. I will know for sure after a couple of days without the CEL returning.
    Like I said this is WIP and if I can get to 250 bhp and keep the low down tractability I have at present which is the same as the car was before any mods, then it will be a wothwhile result and will have been an interesting journey.

    I think Nutron went to around 240bhp in his 150 cdti.. Didn't Karl blow his engine in the end..

    so essentially

    remap + custom turbo + new intercooler

    ok

    how can we do the turbo thing ourselves?

    rest is simple

    oh by the way LPG most likely will let you hit 250 if you've already got 230.

    have you considered the gearbox - rated to 400nm - i'd guess you'll routinely exceed this

    and gearing - i want a 3.09 final drive

    now that should make full use of the extra power / torque you've generated

    have you got a dyno?

    Yep and on the standard turbo chrissgettings did it too I believe.
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!
