Default eberspacher - on vectra cdti

Good afternoon people . My vectra cdti 2007 has a eberspacher diesel-varmer. Is it possible to mount a switch on this so it wont start just when I drive for very short trips? I think this make much soot on this small trip and get broken because of this.

Please,if someone had experience with this, tell me. I cant make a switch on the fuse, then the board computer also fall out.

    Thanks for answer.

    Ket

When the outside temperatur is under +3 deg the ree this one starts to make faster heat to cooling water. I also can start it with the remotecontrol and it will starts and heat the water and inside of the car. Doesent opel diesel in UK have this one?

No we don't have a preheater like that at all. Just the glow plugs.

Its soo cold over there that they have an aux heater which i think is electric? (maybe heating element?) so the cabin is nice and warm when they go out to it, think i recall seeing this on EPC/TIS

the eberspächer can be upgraden to a cabinwarmer . You just have to find a ebersprächer mecanic/dealer.

As its actually a option to have fullheating.. if done properly, you will be abel to control/set timer via the GID/CID.

Its a heater that burns diesel, just like webasto. Its starts up when the enigne get starte at outside temp 3 degree or lower. I can also make it start with the remote control or to a clock-set by the board-somputer. Then it also start the fan inside the car so its getting warm inside. When I come and start up the car it is warm an the engine has temperatur so it starts easy. I tough every diesel in europa had this one. Its vere nice, but it starts automatic when its cold, and if I just make a short trip (5 min) its not burning clean and its make soot. So I want to have a switch so I can choose if it should start or not.
