Default lost a torch down engine bay

was fitting my hids and was useing a small led torch to see what i was at, left it sitting on engine cover, went in to house came out and for the life of me i can not find it i am worried it mite have fell down through the engine, had another torch and looked for it but cant see anything, worried in case its down there and will do damage, had it for a spin over some speed bumps but still nothing, think im ready for the padded cell.

I dropped a rubber handled screwdriver down mine once. Found it a year later when I changed the oil. A bit rusty but it acciunted for a knocking noise over some speed bumps!

Maybe get under the car and drop the oil change flap?

I once lost a spanner that I'd left on the rear windscreen wiper when tidying away. Took the car for a spin and heard a clanging noise on the road. Realised straight away and spent best part of an hour searching for it on the road. Never did find it..
