Door Mirror Help Please

Just backing out my Mums drive and the wind blew her gate into my mirror smashing the glass and damaging the black plastic surround which pushed into the outer painted case.How do these come off and do they come in seperate pieces from Vauxhall as i will need to get one when i get back off my hols.Just my luck at the moment

the cover is seperate to the the black part..that is intergral to the mirror body..the glass just clips in to a 'balljoint' on the rear..

if the black part is broken, then it's a new mirror body i beleive..

you will pay around £200 all in at vauxhall why not try a brakers yard they will sell you one for about £45 mate all in just paint the cover dead easy

The black part is not broken it just has a few little marks in it now as I have managed to put it straight. Just need the glass and the primed cover bit now.Does anyone know how to part the coloured part from the black bit please.

as far as i know it just prise's off from the hinge end..but someone who knows for sure will be along soon..

the glass with it's plastic backer will pop off it you lever it up from the housing..

thats about it i find a small screw driver helps to get them off
also i would let the dealers fit the glass as they norm crack when you put them back in
