    Default How easy or hard

    is it to change the glow plugs on my vec cdti (150) any tips welcome thanks fellas

    From what i have read the 150 is easy it's 120 like mine which is a pig.

    Look easy buddy... My long sockets should get them out...


    Reason we need to change these BTW is Chris is getting a spanner in the morning on a cold start and the code is Glow plug general fault..

    We will spray plus gas around them first mate and see how they feel.. Reckon they will be OK..

    Also - aparently its better to do on a warm engine as the metal is hot

    issues are when people try to change them on a cold engine aparently

    Deffo need a 9mm deep socket... WD40 and a warm engine block... I had the same glow plug fault as you and found 1 plug measured open cct.. so I changed them all for good measure... Once fully undone each of my plugs were quite stiff to extract and I dropped one down the back of the engine when it popped out... lol
