    Default Insignia Bluetooth

Just about to upgrade my Vec to an Insignia. I need a factory fit bluetooth.
    Vx offer two:
1: Contacts stay on the phone and all the phone dials the connection (£200 option)
2: Contacts are synchronised to the car and sim functionaility is transfered to the car and the car dials the connection. (£400 option)

    Which is better?

What bluetooth protocols are supported by the two options?

Is there a phone compatibilty list somewhere?

    Regards
    SteveJ

We have just installed the £200 bluetooth kit but it doesn't work correctly, it supports most phones however it wont use the vehicle controls. We are stuck with a muting problem or the lack of and the correct pins for connecting in the audio. The manual says pins 15 is radio mute, 20,06 are audio IN. I need a diagram if anyone has one for the full 28 pin out!!! Other than that the unit works but had I known how it worked I would opt for a parrot - cheaper and more features!

I've got the £200 version in mine.

It works fine with all of our phones and the voice commands are very accurate. Everything can be operated via the steering wheel controls before the voice commands take over. Never tried the inbedded version.

If I was ordering the car now I'd stick with the standard Bluetooth but add DAB.
