Looks like a lovely motor. Have you considered a 1.9 cdti? Better mpg and can get the same powers from it after a remap or box and it is 1 insurance group lower too .

I have not driven a V6 but I can tell you from my own experiences some 150 CDTi's have problems! Mine for example

I think its a case of being lucky. I've had two 1.9cdti's now and they were both ok. Never had any real problems with them. Yet, some members on here get most problems going with their cars. If you are worried about problems with the car, why not haggle to get a 1.9 a bit cheaper and then get a 2 year warranty for £500 or something. Not losing anything then.

I've got a 1.9 CDTi 150 and have had problems but most of those problems have been resolved by threads, advice and HOW2's on this site.

They may have problems on some of them but the solutions are on this site somewhere!

I would love the 3.0 litre but in all honesty find the 1.9 a wonderful engine very capable and returns fabulous economy.

That car does look beautiful however black just looks good on these

Decisions , decisions , decisions .I have a remapped 1.9 150 cdti vectra and a V6 3.0 Signum , now which do I prefer.........hmmmmmmmmm
Signum every day of the week , you cant beat that V6 , so I lose out on economy but I didnt buy it for economy , even considering getting the Signum remapped (not that it needs it).

That's exactly what I was thinking As it'll be a cash buy then I'm sure I can either haggle down or get the warranty chucked in for the same price
