Private plate on or off???

Im considerin taking my private reg off as my car is a 05 pre face lift which is obviously just before the facelift and people might think my car is 52 reg??? If it was a facelift id probaly leave it because its obviously 05 or above if u know what i mean! Im also not sure anymore it suits the car i look at other vectras same spec colour everything and they always look different in a good way! Must be plate i rekon! Plus with normal reg on no one gets up ur bum as no ones sure ur not cid! Which is a bonus as i hate tailgaters! Lol what peoples thoughts on private plates?

Kinda defeats the purpose of having a private plate if you don't use it

Other than being unique, and usually significant to the owners own name, private plates are sometimes also bought with the intention to disguise a cars year... Whereas you now want to show the cars age, so it means taking your private plate off I suppose..

Is the plate worth much? Sell it, and buy yourself some nice goodies, or put it on retention and keep it for a future car maybe..

True lol, but i think i should only use it either when i get a new bentley! Ha (i hope) or a car like a jag worth 2 grand on a t reg put the plate on that and it cud be a 57 plate for all people know as some cars shapes stayed same from 1998 to 2008! Lol. Jus dunno if it shud be on my car due to the year and the year it had facelift etc. I dunno!

Around 400, but is costs 105 every time u change cars, since ive had it its been on 3 cars. So that nearly as much money in admin fees than the plate costs! Lol, no wonder my mates say its posh havin one! U need ££££'s to keep em especially if you go through plenty cars!
