    Default Renault Megane GT

Looks like the vec may be going soon ;-)
Been put off the astra xp by the drab interior so looked at other warm diesel hatches out there and come across the megane gt.
Has anyone ever owned or know anyone with one and are they reliable etc? fun to drive?

Dont know about the megane but i have owned a few renaults (clio rsi, espace and laguna) and since i got rid of the last 1 i have never been happier.

All i can say is good luck and check everything electrical as the french dont seem too clever with electrics and auto electricians aint cheap

getting rid as I want something smaller, cheap to run but fun to drive and big enough for a bit of shopping and the odd weekend away! other than that, car is just used for round town.. so dont need the space now the littluns are that little bit older..

Check for plastic clicking coming from steering column lock to lock (clockspring). Check for water in the driver/passenger cubby holes (underneath floormats). Check that all windows go up and down (regulator).- wife has 1.6vvt 2004
