Can you not just cut them into the bottom of the door card?

No templates, its smooth... Mates 03 dti SRi has them too but me and 3 other local early preface owners dont...

are these things actually kerb lights or are they more of a safety thing so people can see the open door?

anybody who has them do they actually illuminate the floor? would have thought the bottom of the door would be a better place lol
