What do you need to know Paul.

The pin outs from GID to Diagnostic Plug ?

If I remember correctly, the screen plugs is

Green on pin 22 goes to Diagnostic plug pin 3

White on pin 23 goes to Diagnostic plug pin 11

If it helps, the Low Speed CAN green goes from the CIM module to Diagnostic plug pin 1

    Does that help ?

This is the same for all 32 pin Vectra display plugs..

You should already have the green wire on pin 3 and the white wire on pin 11 of the diagnostic plug.

It would be a good idea to take the plug out, even if it is just to confirm that the two wires are indeed there.

If you don't have wires here already, then yes just insert new pins into these positions.
    otherwise,

Splice the green wire into the one on pin 3 of the diagnostic plug
and splice the other white wire onto the one on pin 11.

    which two wires are those?

What colours do you have left?
and from which pins on the screen connector.

There are only three wires from the GID to the Diagnostic plug on the Vectra-C
(More on the Vectra-B and Omega-B as these aren't even half CAN devices, where you may have an extra brown/white, or brown/green, or brown/yellow.)

The three wires you should have to diagnostic plug are:
Brown/white for half CAN Vectra only (Diag Pin 8) - display pin 14
There is no brown/white on full CAN Vectras
Green for all Vectra-C (Diag Pin 3) - display pin 22
White for all Vectra-C (Diag pin 11) - display pin 23

If the display still doesn't work, then it is from the wrong model of Vectra...perhaps Vectra-B

No probs Paul, I checked your profile for car spec, however I covered both full and half CAN options for other members reading this thread.

With regard to you saying that it is working,
In that case, you can ignore the comments about the extra 2 wires.
I assume you got that from Bigmac's thread, for upgrading from 18 pin to 32 pin display plug. (TID to GID conversion)
If you already had a 32 pin plug, then it would have already been fully populated.

No probs, it is just a basic fit the stalk, and then Tech 2 / Vaux-com or Op-com job to enable to stalk switches in the variance configuration tables.... simples !!
