    Default Clarkson payback!

    Vectra-C meet HERE

didn't manage to get to see the show last year but i heard it was very good! we should get as many vx's as possible and do a mass display!!

on a serious note...who went to see last years one and would you consider going again. there are a bunch of tickets for sale which give you access to different areas. the most expenssive tickets are going for 50 quid! alot of money for a show that lasts an hour and a half! but i guess you can spend a long time in the paddocks and what not!

did they do the show in both the NEC and Earls Court last year??

I quite fancy going to the opening night at the NEC wher it's all unscirpted, that would be a great laugh!!

    £50 to see that pillock?

Vectra basher or not, he aint worth that!! I'm seeing the Rolling Stones for less next week! Proper legends, not a jumped up local rag reporter!

I'd like to see it but even £27 for a standard ticket is a bit steep I think.

now i definitely want to go if this beast is going to be there!! it just looks like its on steroids!

"If there’s one thing that the Porsche Cayenne Turbo isn’t short of it’s power. But tuning house TechArt doesn’t agree, boosting the 450bhp SUV to a loony 600bhp. In doing so they’re renamed it Magnum and created a 2,300kg, 183mph SUV that can sprint to 62mph in just 4.5 seconds. To make sure it stands out from all the other Cayennes on our roads they’ve added a none-too-subtle styling package to it, too. If you want to see this monster then it’s on show at MPH’06 (Birmingham, NEC 26-29 October and London’s Earls Court 2-5 November), along with other exotica, and a motoring theatre hosted by Jeremy Clarkson. For tickets go to www.mphshow.co.uk"

Thats even more revolting than the standard revolting version....by far the worst 4x4 (and they're all ****) and by far the worst Porsche!

so you don't like 4x4's then Brocks???

the looks are drastic and the cayenne in any guise is purchased as a show piece (it can't do the 4x4 bit well, and it's no sports car), but i guess someone had to cater for the city slickers other than Range Rover and BMW.

0-62mph in 4.5 secs is impressive though, for something that weighs over 2 tonne! lets see this engine in a 911 please!

The photo of the front end reminds me of a PT Cruiser!!!

I wouldn't say I don't like 4x4s,.....I despise them. They have no place in the urban environment and when ever I have had the displeasure of being in one, the ride and overall experience was akin to a having root canal done! I know a few people who have bought them (the porsche thing). Most have ditched them PDQ. Probably cause of the stick they got from their friends.

    Anyway back to thread...

£27/£50 to see Clarkson? Would be cheaper to get a Top gear ticket and be entertained by Richard Hammond would it not!

clarkson is the side line as far as i'm concerned - i want to see the cars performing on the stage. didn't get a chance to see the vxr's 'performing' at the motor show at the excel centre, so this is the next best thing

but 50 quid is steep regardless!!
