    Default Instruments all dead.?

Got in car last night found all clocks dead no speedo, fuel gauge, rev counter, this was in vauxhall only 10 days ago for a new steering coulmn and i wonder if a plug has come loose.

Has these instruments ever failed before like this? If so may be a common fault.

sounds like it could be a plug mate. but i think something to do with the alternator etc.. i have seen this posted up a few times before. i would take it back in and blame them

Could be a loose plug or it could be the ABS plug, some cars have a similar fault to this and it's rectified by cleaning the contacts on the abs pump plug

    Bit too coincidental though

Mines done that about 2 weeks ago and it turned out to be a loose fuse. I think it was fuse 17 on the passenger side of the dash board.

Intruments on mine went dead tonight on way back from morrisons, no speedo, rev counter, temp/fuel gauge, indicator warning lights, oil warning etc but had dash illumination and cruise worked. removed and refitted the 2 blue fuses, f12 and f17 and now all ok. wierd

its now becoming more prevalent as the colder inclemant weather kicks in and condensation starts to cause slight corrosion on contacts

expect a few more "contact related" faults to become apparant as the weather declines
