    Default Re-map or not?

I really would like to increase the low down performance of my cdti 150. Unfortunately I may have to get the dmf changed shortly. Also the car has done 110k miles. So my question is is there any point getting a re-map i.e. will it break the new DMF quickly or have any other potential side effects?

    Vehicle : Golf 7

    Trim : GTD

    Engine : 2.0 TDI 184PS

    Year : 2014

    Mileage : 40000

Remapping an engine is always going to put excess pressure/stress on engine components.

As for fixing the low down problem it probably will however it will only hide the problem and won't increase the horsepower low down as it should do.
