    Default air-bag removal

    aryt guys

aint exactly airbag removal (aint gonna dis-connect any wires) just enough to fit new steering control covers as original ones were scratched to f**k

have read a few threads bout this and tells you to poke the holes on the steering wheel with a long, thin, plain screw driver

i tried it the other day for bout 15 mins and got nowhere, except set off my horn every few seconds lol

anyone any other info they could shed on this ?

    cheers peeps

    hi m8
get the hole at the bottom
insert the screwdriver(i use a phillips)
pull the screwdriver towards you untill you hear/feel a click
do the same on the other hole and it should just pop free.

It's pretty easy mate, i've done a few now. After you've let the bag discharge it only takes seconds

I really hope you are going to dis connect the battery and wait a couple of mins for the airbag capacitors to discharge. Having an airbag deploy right in your face is GOING to hurt

I've had these covers in and out plenty of times, and i've never had to take the airbag out.

Unscrew the hex screws at the back of the wheel, then get a flat bladed screwdriver under the outer edge and pull. The horn tends to sound as they pop out, so don't do it at night, like i did the first time lol.
