Airbox mod and k&n panel filter!!!!!

Hi please can any1 tell me what the airbox mod is people keep discussing? And what are the benifits of these 2, noise, power??? What is the price of a k&n panal filter roughly? Thanks

I think the k&n filters are around 40 to 50 quid..

Dont know if you get much power or extra noise, aint got one myself.. Somebody who has one might be able to give better info..

I found it helped reduce the lag at low revs, also makes the turbo whistle much easier to hear lol.

Mine was £25 on ebay, usually around £40 ish.

If you de-restrict the air box you will defo hear turbo whistle

aahhh no, you will only hear the supercharger whine if you have no turbo.

Theres a few magazines n stuff that jus say its a con and they make no inmprovement what so ever! Do they make it sound any different at all? Just a panal filter.

Im gunna go and do that airbox mod now if all you have to do is snap that half tunnel of plastic out, will i be ok putting my normal filter back in? And will i notice anything atall?

you will be fine putting oe filter back, how old is the filter, for the sake of 6 quid you may as well put a new one in
