    Default 2.2 direct serious judder/poor running!help!

hi,this is my second post on here,im really after some help on this one.
Have a 2.2 direct sri on a 54 plate.after experiencing cutting out and a poor idle the car was plugged in and a p1191 code reported.new regulator and pump fitted.car now runs and doesnt cut out.but there poor idle is still there and when pulling away it has got a serious judder, like the engine is going to jump out!i am convinced this is engine related rather than the clutch,as if you pull away when the car is still running on choke then no judder.when the engine is warm the judder is really bad.when driving and going through the gears it seems fine. The engine is very sluggish accelerating, and seems to feel tight,as if its not being held back.it will reach 70 on the motorway and feels fairly smooth whilst going along.has anyone else experienced this?help would be very much appreciated on this.

You could try blanking the egr where the pipe joins the head from the manifold, a cut up coke can will do.

I am no Vec Tec but here goes,

So you have had a new fuel pump and regulator fitted, Was the fuel filter change too?

All I can think of is either a Weak spark? (oil or carbon on plugs)

or Air Starvation (dirty filter) but it would have to be seriously dirty to cause that

hi,yes egr has been cleaned,no change.its had new plugs, all new filters.throttle body cleaned also.all made no difference at all.i will try blanking the egr.if i unplug the egr would it have the same effect?i.e its not operating.
one thing i will mention is when i bought all the service items, the plugs i was given where longer than the ones that came out of it,i thought this was odd,but went back and got the same plugs that was in it.i know i may be clutching at straws, but i keep thinking maybe these longer ones are the correct ones?lol, this is really doing my head in.

    BOSCH 408772680,
    DENSO 408775310
NGK 408775310, sorry I can not be more help,

Just get them from the dealer and you'll get the right ones. Direct are quad electrode and none direct are 3. Dont just unplug the egr as it will start throwing fault lights. If its clean and free moving then thats fine. You can pass 12v over pins a and e to see if its working. It could be coil pack. Start at the least expensive and change the plugs and work your way up. I take it your chain is all ok and hasnt jumped a tooth? How many miles has it done?

no correction, after looking at euro car parts, the plugs i have are correct and are 3 electrode.the bosch plug is 4 electrode and denso also make another plug which is just the single electrode.
