Angry mechanic screwed with my signum, need help

I made the unusual decison to let somebody else work on my car today so that I would have my weekend free to do family stuff and things around the house. I normally do everything myself but once drew the line at a DMF change the stealers told me I need but turns out i did not, useless t0ssers. I tend to steer clear of taking my cars to a mechanic as I never get it back how i left it, something always gets screwed up.

Today was one of those days. A mechanic who was recommended was just supposed to change my track rod ends and allign it all, change my Multi V belt tensioner, put on my braided brake hoses on the rear (fronts already done by me).

Now I picked my car up late this afternoon and i now have a list of problems:

    1 - A scraping NSF caliper and a scored 2 week old 314mm disk
2 - Power steering will not work unless the engine is on, it used to work at ignition position two
3 - Outside air temp gauge no longer reading correct temp and mostly displaying an 'F'.
4 - Headlights go off leaving only sidelights when the engine is turned off despite the switch still being on full, turn engine back on and lights come back on.
5 - Windows autoclose no longer works when locking doors and holding lock button on remote
6 - steering now pulls to the right slighty, used to be perfectly alligned.

Now i will strip down the NSF brake tomorrow to see whats happening there and arrange to get my car its 2nd 4 wheel laser allignment of the year. But can you guys help me with the screwed up electrical bits, I guess he disconnected the battery for some ****** reason but cannot be sure.

    Any ideas gratefully accepted..

Power steering only works on mine if the engine is on too so think that's normal, Temp gauge displaying F sounds like a dodgy temp sensor or sensor not plugged in inside the front bumper, and headlights do go off when the engine is turned off leaving only sidelights. Think it's incase you do happen to leave your lights on, at least taking the key out will turn off the most powerful lights.

ok, reseated temp gauge seems to be ok for now..

Just done the window thing mentioned by Kenp and thats sorted that..

I was sure i could turn my steering with the ignition in position 2. You could be right about the lights, but i am sure they used to stay on, maybe i am looking for faults that are not there now..

Ad 4: if my normal lights are put to 1 and turn of the car the lights stay on. but Foglights and "high" beam turn off. (for me sidelights are the W5W bulbs)

Well my power steering only works when the engine is on, no real need to turn your wheels when engine is off, and the headlights do go off with the engine, if you do that and then turn your headlight switch to sidelights and back on then the headlights should come back on. These sound normal and did it on my preface too.

Isn't the light thing programmable somehow? Sounds like the battery has been off along with the bumper. Plug the temp sensor back in. Everything has been reset to defaults. Have you read the manual???
