Fault code P0340 is camshaft position sensor, when I had my Omega, I had one of these fail and my car wouldn't start, just turn over.

P0340 is cam position sensor circuit malfunction.

If the sensor has gone, it is relatively easy to change. Firstly though check the wiring and plug, as it can become damaged or not make a good connection.

I missed the 2.2 DTi bit.

In reality I am not sure. The old 2.0 DTI didn't have a cam pos sensor. I wonder how it comes up with an fault on something that it doesn't have.....

Maybe a slipped link? It would probably be worthwhile checking the timing of the crank, pump and camshaft positions
