    Default buffing lens covers

    I read somewhere on here that you can buff out the road rash on plastic lenses over the lamps,... do I need any product on the plastic at all?... cant remember where I read it on here

    Try a normal polsih first by hand its amzing how much contamination is there.

    I just used some regular cutting compound with an orbital buffer. That was only used after a name brand head-light restorer only made the lights worse. All I can say is it came up a treat after buffing.

    Never tried it on cars, but for aircraft acrylic windows, Micromesh is the stuff we use.

    Finest grade is 1200, going down to 12000 grit.

    One job I used to do, you started with a file, then wet and dry, then Micromesh working through the grades, and ended up with totally clear screens

    gonna try tooth paste first and work up to trying this aircraft stuff! - might fit some missiles while I'm at it
