    Default Tech 2 HIDs question...

If you change the settings to accept HID's do you not need the cancellors etc?

Just the bulbs and its plug and play?

You don't need the cancellor after tech2, but you still need ballast.

Mine doesn't need canceller before and after tech2.... However I fitted a pair of cancellor. The capacitor in cancellor can insulate the ballast from UEC anyway.

never touched tech2 on my car, youre only effectively replacing the bulbs. cancellers are only needed if you have a problem with bulb out warnings, as far as i know.

maybe the tech2 settings are for the afl's?

The setting is in uec. That setting is telling the system whether the PWM for main beam is used.

Even the hid is working fine, the uec should be tech2'd to stop PWM otherwise it will damage the HID eventully.

ok, give all us numpties a clue what UEC and PWM mean?

with the many hundreds of vectras out there with aftermarket HIDs fitted, i wonder how many have gone the tech2 route, not many im guessing.
